Three overlapping areas
-
Product launch enablement
Spec sheets, range hierarchies, event booklets and training modules that let a sales team explain a new product properly on day one.
-
Campaigns, print and motion
Battlecards, banners, presentation animation and video, held together so a campaign reads the same wherever it appears.
-
Brand systems and localisation
Guidelines, templates and translation-ready artwork. Layouts built so they survive German text expansion and someone else's hands.
About
Most of my work is the unglamorous middle of a product launch: the document that has to be technically correct, on brand for two companies at once, and still right when it ships in eight languages.
I work almost entirely with hardware manufacturers, as Copywriter and Digital Designer at Big Picture in Hammersmith. In practice that means specification tables and terminology glossaries, pre-press and localisation artwork, Amazon A+ modules, retail training built in dominKnow ONE, and occasionally a film. It is detailed work and it suits me, because the interesting problem is almost never how a page looks. It is whether the structure survives a seventh market asking for their own version of it.
The thread through all of it is the same. Settle the English master properly, before a word goes to translation, and everything downstream becomes a production job rather than a design one. Get that sequence wrong and a single late change costs eight rounds of work instead of one.
I am looking for a senior in-house or agency role in London where that systems work is the point rather than an afterthought.
